Training Staff
Ian Jones
Ian Jones holds a USYSA “D” License. He has been the Director of Medina Classics since 2004. Coach Jones has been a coach with the Medina Classics program since 1995. He has served numerous positions on the Medina Soccer Association Board since 1998.
For Fall 2010 Ian will be training with the U12's.
Doug Coreno
Coach Doug has been a Head Coach at the varsity high school level for nine years. Three of those years were as head coach for J.F. Byrnes Academy (Florence, SC) boys’ varsity team. In 1999 he coached the team to the state quarter finals, and in 2000 to the state semi-finals. Doug also spent four years as the head boys’ varsity coach for Berea High School. In 2002, he coached Berea to the first district championship and regional semi-final appearance in school history.
Coach Doug is currently the Medina High School head varsity girls’ soccer coach where he has a record of 36-2-4. Medina won the 2009 Division 1 State Championship defeating Dublin Coffman 4-0 in the finals. This was the largest margin of victory in the history of the Division 1 state championship game. Doug was the 2008 Northeast Ohio Conference Coach of the Year, and in 2009 the Coach of the Year in the Plain Dealer and Gazette newspapers.
In addition, Doug is the head coach of the Cleveland Futbol Club/Pennine U-18 team. He coached the CFC U-11s to a state championship in 2008, and the CFC U-14s to a state championship and Regional appearance in 2009.
For Fall 2010 Doug will be training with the U13's and U14's.
Brad Wojnarowski
Coach Brad's playing career began in Brunswick where he was a 3 year starter for the Blue Devils. During the Summer of 1988 Brad spent time in the youth academies of Ajax and Willem II in the Netherlands.
Coach Brad has been coaching at the youth level for 18 years, spending time with the Cleveland Football Club (CFC), Brunswick and Medina. Over that time Brad's teams have won 13 League Titles and 15 Tournament Championships. In 2004 Brad was named OYSAN's Girls Coach Of The Year . Then in 2006 he was named Greater Cleveland Assistant High School Coach of the Year. In both 2007 and 2009 he was a finalist for the award.
Coach Brad spent 3 years as an assistant with the Brunswick High School boys program where he helped guide them to the first and only Regional appearances in school history. In 2003 he moved over to the girls program and helped the girls win just its second Conference Championship in school history.
In 2008 Brad came to Medina to fill the vacant Assistant Coach position with the Lady Bees. During his time with the Bees, MHS has posted just the second unbeaten season in school history and posted the most wins in school history while claiming the schools second State Championship in 2009.
For Fall 2010 Brad will be training with the U13's and U14's.
Jason Bulan
Coach Jason began developing a passion for the game of soccer 30 years ago while playing for the Brunswick Blast travel soccer program. He continued to play for Brunswick High School and was named first team Pioneer conference his senior year and was named Most Valuable Player. He continued to play recreationally at Miami of Ohio and still plays in the Medina adult league and for Napoli FC in Brunswick. He began his coaching career while in High School, continued during his college years while in SW Ohio in Cincinnati youth leagues, and now with Medina Soccer Association and the Medina Classics for a combined 12 years of experience. Jason holds an OYSAN U9/12 license.
For Fall 2010 Jason will be training with the U10's.
Eric Henning

Rich Bonitz
Coach Rich played his high school soccer in Medina in the mid-1980's and went on to play in college as a goalkeeper at John Carroll University. After college, he served as Assistant Varsity and goalkeeper Coach at Medina High School from 1988 - 1993. After moving to the east side of Cleveland, Rich served as Head Coach at Chanel High School from 1994-1998 and earned Division II Cleveland Region Coach of the Year in 1997. He has been fortunate enough to have coached 3 All-State goalkeepers while at Medina and Chanel.
Rich has also trained and coached in the Medina Rangers program, winning the Ohio State Cup in 1998 and has intermittently served as the travel program’s goalkeeper coach since the late 1990's.
For Fall 2010 he will be training with the U11's.
